The Ganas EP is dedicated to Professor Jaime Escalante who passed away on March 30, 2010. The movie ''Stand and Deliver'' was based on his life. As a math teacher, he worked hard to inspire Latino students in East L.A. to work hard at their math skills and at life with ''Desire'' or in Spanish ''Ganas''. When everyone else expected Latinos not to do well at advanced Math and Calculus, he reminded students that the Aztecs and Mayans were masters of numbers. The tracks on the ''Ganas EP'' are designed to inspire listeners to overcome expectations and remember that today's so-called ''minorities'' are the descendents of some of the worlds greatest civilizations.
