Westwood / Cash
Psycho For Your Love / Work Those Joints
Two killer electo funk tracks from Detroit 1983. Done by Danan Potts who also did the classic 1982 release as Superlife. At that time Danan was hanging around the Recording Institute of Detroit where Juan Atkins was training in production. Danan was interested in Atkin's style of dance music and quickly recorded Superlife's Go Bananas (re-released on PPU records). Bananas was released locally on Southern Sun Records in hyper limited quantity, it is today one of the most sought after underground detroit techno recordings. A year after that he and Orlando Cash did his second release called Psycho For Your Love. Danan also worked with George Clinton, and certainly some p-funk had rubbed off on Danan. PPU brings the original versions from Danan Potts aka Westwood/Cash ''Psycho For Your Love'' and ''Work Those Joints'' plus new edited versions. Very much Recommended!
