This Morricone score is relatively quiet, compared to some of his more nail-biting works, but as always, Morricone is a master of transforming the psychology of the film's characters into music, which he does here with a subtle art that has made him THE undisputed maestro of film scores. The quality of his work was also recognized with the track 'It's Wrong For Me To Love You,' featuring vocals by Zadora, which were nominated for 'Best Original Song.' Thanks in no small part to Pia Zadora's steamy performance here, both the film and soundtrack have become cult classics.
