Sadar Bahar is surely one of Chicago's best keep secrets. Since he began collecting records in the early 80's, he's built one of the most formidable collections in the world. He and his friends went against the grain, eschewing electronic and techno in favour of hard to find rare groove sounds which they dubbed 'soul in the hole'. ''We sought out the deepest hot stuff available and found out that there was so much untapped music. Our search practically took over our lives. Yet, it was a great investment, because our unique collection has given us dominance.''
