Kerri Chanlder presents a Various Artist summer sampler! Up first is Roog & Dennis Quinn feat. Berget Lewis’ ‘Igohart’ which saw support from the likes of Sante & Sidney Charles, Shadow Child and Maya Jane Coles with it’s raw swing, gritty stab sequences and soaring vocals. The ‘Dub Mix’ of Opolopo’s ‘Lowlife’ follows and add a playful bounce to things via wandering organ hooks, spiralling vocals and an infectious musicality with its warm string and bright piano chords.
T.Williams and James Jacob then head back to more direct dance floor vibes with the piano-laden ‘Together’ fuelled by weighty 909’s, string samples and smooth chords before ‘Kerri’s Kaoz 6:23 Mix’ of Lafayette’s ‘Better Late Than Never’ gets a 2017 remaster, bringing even more shine to the soul infused New Jersey house classic.
