Area Forty_One
Nocturnal Passions Part III
After three years way, Area Forty_One makes a welcome return to Delsin with four more of his intergalactic explorations and the third part of his on-going Nocturnal Passions EP series. Ambient, techno, downtempo and electro all feed into these more cinematic soundscapes.
Nocturnal Passions III opens the account with icy electro drum work and celestial melodies, while a groaning bassline down low adds real moodiness. Supernova is sci-fi ambient techno with beautiful keys floating amongst rippling arps that are gentle, soothing and designed to expand your mind. On the flip, Desolated Grounds is spooky and unsettling, with brilliantly haunting chords ringing out into the emptiness of space and making for a constantly feeling of peril. It's an absorbing, slow to evolve track that keeps you on edge. Closer G-832-C is deep and thoughtful thanks other nagging lead synth line and slow, and it rounds out another classy EP.
