Fabrice Lig, the prince of everything electronic, is back after his very acclaimed X-Slaves. He delivers the goods once again, starting off here with chapter one in a Purple Raw trilogy. First up is The Track, based around a jerky syncopated rhythm and a very dry kick, which remains light all the way. As usual, Lig’s arrangements evolve progressively before they wipe us away with their screeching pads and synthetic melodies. A great mixture of minimal techno and Detroit nostalgia.
