Gatto Fritto recently remixed Subway on Souljazz and had releases on dissident. The a-side ''Hex'' is a nine minute, mid-tempo, atmospheric, bearded disco trip taking in falsetto vocals, ''straight to video'' synths, acoustic guitars and the budget, analog death rattle of a vintage siel cruise. The b-side ''Beachy Head'' is a teutontastic tribute to the UK's favourite suicide spot. A 3/4 Krauty synth builder that spills into layered waves of guitars and unforgiving rocks of heavy analog bass... think Klaus Schulze and Steve Reich rolling off a cliff in a 1983 Datsun Cherry.
