Polyester Static' features two tracks at either end of Kai's stylistic spectrum plus a driving remix by House music legend Chez Damier. The title track is a classic mix of jacking synth bassline, Rhodes piano chords, pitched up cowbells and scat vocals. At the other end of the spectrum, 'Born A Day After' is another great example of Kai's deep, drowsy, beautifully constructed minimalism. On the flip, Chez Damier remixes 'Polyester Static', heading straight for the dancefloor with a rolling bassline, stabbing chords and submerged vocal - irresistible pure House music in the best tradition!
