I'm That Alley
‘I’m That Alley’ is the new single from South African shock-poppers, Sweat.X. It comes as they embark on their two month European tour and is a taste of their forthcoming album, ‘187’. ‘I’m That Alley’ is a departure from vocalist Spoek Mathambo’s hyper-surreal rap style, and, together with Markus Wormstorm’s finely designed production, is a modern take on the classic synthpop love song. Accompanying the title track is ‘The Knife’, a freaked peek into the world of Sweat.X; a favourite of their live shows, it finally gets released here. Third track on the single is a remix of ‘I’m That Alley’ by New York-based, Mike Slott. Slott has been making waves with his work as one half of Heralds Of Change and this remix is his best work to date and is already being used to close out his live set. The release also includes instrumental versions of ‘The Knife’ and ‘I’m That Alley’ for maximum club efficiency.
