Jan Turkenburg

Jan Turkenburg is quite literally a musical UFO landed from a distant galaxy in his spaceship. Or more precisely from Zwolle's Geert Grote School (Netherlands), in which Mr Turkenburg is known to be a music teacher. In 2005, attracted by a free web-compilation project entitled ''Interplanetary Material'' focused on outerspace, Jan Turkenburg teamed up with all the pupils from his classes at the Geert Grote School (aged 4-12) to participate to the recording of ''In My Spaceship'': the tune he had composed on his home-synth as an homage to Star-Trek but also to his own ''sleepless nights when he wishes he just could beam himself up to his spaceship and leave everything behind''. Includes the original version and an acapella. Picturedisc!!
