Following their relentless transmission for Silent Servant's Historia y Violencia label in 2010, Raíz exercise serious Latin techno moves with Marcel Dettmann fave 'Keep Secrets' and the more menacing 'Been Caught', entwining insistent bleeps and frothing synths in a slinky, eerie and powerful groove. Function & Jerome Sydenham maintain a solid record with their straighter kicking, big-room devastating version on the flip while James Ruskin leans in close for a beautifully measured rework meshing the pounding drum track with fragile, glassy-eyed synths redolent of classic early 90s UK techno.
