Murcof
La Sangre Iluminada
InFine welcomes to the family this new version of the soundtrack to the film La Sangre Iluminada. Initially composed and re-edited for the occasion by Murcof, this vinyl-exclusive LP was mastered by another sound sorcerer, Rashad Becker, from Dubplate Mastering studios.
Fernando Corona established himself as Murcof with his long-playing debut, Martes for Leaf in 2002. His fusion of micro-rhythms and deconstructed classical notation has led him to records for labels as diverse as Sutekh's Context records and also jazz stalwart, Blue Note. Re-edited and re-mastered to create a new version of the soundtrack to the Mexican film La Sangre Iluminada, Murcof's idiosyncratic, vaporous production correlates perfectly to the wide, scoped scenes of the Mexican desert. Great album that is ridiculously limited to only 300 copies! Vinyl Only!
