For 40 years now, German TV-series \''Raumpatrouille – die phantastischen Abenteuer des Raumschiffs Orion\'' has been hailed as a true classic of the Science Fiction genre and also its soundtrack is regarded a cult classic. The colourful and innovative arrangements and extraordinary melodies of composer Peter Thomas surprised the listeners with their wealth of hitherto unheard sounds, the music became an instant hit. Luckily everybody involved realised that this soundtrack was a real masterpiece and thus it was issued as an LP simultaneously with the first TV airing of the “Space Patrol” - series in 1966 – not a common thing in the music industry in those days! This 180g vinyl is limited with 1000 items, they are signed by the composer Peter Thomas and the longplay contains a very interesting 8-pages log book (Bordbuch) with original notes of Peter Thomas and many pictures of the movie.
