Reprising his role in the earlier Tony Rome movie of the same name, P.I. Frank Sinatra finds himself this time in the seedy Miami Beach of the 1960’s where the “mob” are gasping their last breaths, and characters larger than life stalk the streets. The plot’s-not-a lot kind of movie is driven along by Hugo Montenegro’s lively score, a perfect match for what’s happening up there on the screen. The main theme has often been sampled, and can also be heard on TV documentaries about Miami Beach today.
