Szare will probably not be a name familiar to many, having covertly established himself on the lauded Horizontal Ground label, basking in the stamped white label anonymity of deep, troublesome 4/4. Now with this release and his Syndrom Z label, the producer steps just a little into the light to expose his unique abstractions on swung techno. ‘Volya’ ploughs a sparse and percussive furrow, while ‘Action Five’ boasts a wistful, dreamlike melodic bent to leave you with two distinctly different, but equally enthralling cuts.
