Mika Vainio

Mika Vainio’s first solo album for Blastfirst sees him return to his classic power electronics, heavy beats approach that made his Pansonic duo with ilpo vaissanen garner a world wide reputation. The album developed from Vainio’s recent live sets to make ten tersely titled tracks apprently inspired by the shipping container industry. Four stars in Mojo “ heavy-freight” The Wire complained of the album being “too rock” The Quietus described it as “fearsome”. Vaino continues to tour the world – an army of one.
