Balearica 15
new four track EP featuring more super cool sun-kissed Balearic rarities. First up is the lush deep house beauty of ‘Twilight’ by Trio Zero aka Larry Heard, a wonderful lost gem by the maestro previously only available on the Black Havana LP from ’89, followed by the gorgeous Paresseuse Dub of ‘C’est La Ouate’ a dreamy downtempo gem taken from the B side of a 1985 pop song by French singer Caroline Loeb. The flipside keeps up the pressure with another sought after rarity, the incredible Dub mix of Equa’s ‘City Lights’, an awesome laidback UK jazz funk groover from ‘83 that got plays both in Ibiza and on the jazz funk scene. Rounding things up is the great slo-mo tribal Balearic sound of ‘Nijána’ by Czech jazz artist Jana Koubková taken from her 1985 ‘Bosa’ LP. A quality selection - don’t sleep!
