Aus follow up Huxley’s debut career album and Gerry Read’s ‘3 2 1′ EP with their 72nd release and the first contribution to the label from Toronto born Bwana. The Leeds based producer expands on the amorous brand of Bass he’s built his reputation with and turns in his ‘Flute Dreams’ EP; an iridescent packet that sits comfortably in big room spaces and comes bolstered by a remix from Simian Mobile Disco. The title track crescendos behind a thrumming kick and chirping melodies as it gathers luminous tones and textures throughout. Simian Mobile Disco then weigh in and drive clipped acid patterns under hustling drums in a tense and capacious rework. ‘Fizzle’ unfolds behind shimmering synth patterns and stout toms before ‘Aomame’ lays a saturated thud under more flaring synths that bloom alongside steadily strengthening drum patterns that bring another Aus coup to a close
