Joel Alter

Wonderful album by Gothenburg's Joel Alter! We know Joel since his two albums he released together with Henrik Jonsson as Jonsson/Alter on Kontra-Musik. From intimate, string-heavy house tracks such as 'Broken Chord' or the beautiful 'Unsung Heroes' to slightly dark yet catchy disco music like 'I Got It', topped of with some mystical excusrsions this is an album that is rather hard to pin down genre-wise but even easier to connect to emotionally when you listen to it from start to finish. The artwork is based on several oil paintings by Swedish artist Joakim Heidvall.
