The history behind ''Methane Sea'' lies deeply shrouded within the electronic fog that is just as mysterious as the recording and the man himself. Richard Davis started his musical career in his bedroom locked away for 6 months intensively writing down synth patches for his Arp Axxe, which resulted in something that sounds like Funkadelic and Drexciya. Mind this was three years before Richard Davis and Juan Atkins released ''Alleys Of Your Mind'' as Cybotron. This 12'' record was cut to a lacquer straight from the original 1978 master tapes with no digital mastering in between. 100% analog. Pressed in the United States.
