El Frijolero

Tracking down El Frijolero (neé Michael Brown) for an interview prior to the release of this 12'' proved almost impossible. The producer has slipped into obscurity since the late 90's and early 2000's. Rumour circulated that he joined a religious cult in the secluded countryside of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. These previously unreleased remixes were found in a box of possessions in a friend's basement. They encapsulate the unrivalled talent and technical mastery of a man whose musical career and financial euphoria came to an abrupt end.
