Conceptually, 'Macon' is Soren Roi’s response to the music of his partner, inspired as he heard it composed in the room next door.

''In the album's lighter moments, it recalls times of manic bliss with contrasting lush tones and unsettled micro-percussions. In its darker times, the music focuses on concepts of codependence and a higher power.

This duality is apparent in the album's melodic forms, which reach through traditional dance floor repetition and move towards a more structured format. Together these elements further engage the conversation and reflection of his relationship, conjured as he heard her song filtered through the bedroom walls.''
