Ferocactus Pilosus
Ferocactus pilosus is a common species native to the Mexican
states of Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí,
Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas. Colloquially known as the
Mexican Fire Barrel Cactus, it can be found primarily on rocky
limestone hills in semi-desert conditions in a variety of soil
types. Ferocactus pilosus is a clumping barrel/column cactus
with distinct, thick red spines. It produces yellow and red
owers when in bloom and is regarded as a slow-growing yet
hardy specimen for home cultivation. Our botanists strive to
source and produce high-quality specimens to enrich your
mind as well as your ears. After many months in the eld our
team has returned with a diverse selection of sonic seedlings.
Following a series of meticulous experiments in our research
facility each seedling has been deemed safe for general
propagation and cleared for release.
