Alessandro Alessandroni - Alessandro Alessandroni (Butterfly)

Also known as ''The Butterfly'', this is one of the rarest of Maestro Alessandro Alessandroni. Released in a mere run of 500 copies in 1971 on the small imprint SR Records, the few originals have now reached a four-digit price on the collectors market. That was an album  that showcased all the qualities of Alessandroni, both as a composer and as an arranger, running the gap between classical composition and psychedelia; with the use of polyphonic  voices of his Cantori Moderni, the impressionistic strings arrangements and the inimitable   sound of distorted guitar (which you’ve probably heard on the soundtracks of Ennio  Morricone and Bruno Nicolai).
