Quarteto Em Cy

Known as “The Girls From Bahia” in the USA, Quarteto Em Cy are undoubtedly the most important female band of the MPB since they were discovered by Vinícius de Moares and Carlos Lyra in the early 60’s. Their self-titled LP, released by the Odeon label in 1972, is considered unarguably their best album ever and includes arrangements by Edu Lobo, Luiz Eça (from Tamba Trio), and stellar collaborations like that of the legendary singer-songwriter Dorival Caymmi.
