Susumu Yokota - Skintone Edition Vol.1, celebrating the life and work of one of electronic music's greatest innovaters.

Lo Recordings is honoured to announce the release of the seminal works of the Japanese electronic and ambient musician Susumu Yokota. Yokota redefined ambient music with a series of 14 extraordinary albums, released from 1998 through to 2012.
Over a 20 year period Yokota released 30 albums and countless 12s under a variety of aliases, across more than a dozen pre-eminent labels. Yokota received domestic and international acclaim as a house and techno DJ and producer throughout the nineties. Part of the vanguard of the Tokyo scene, his influential release Acid Mt. Fuji inspires techno artists to this day.

A thirteen piece vinyl box set, featuring seven of Yokota's most lauded albums. The box is wrapped in linen paper, with foil print. It includes six double LPs, and one single disc LP. Each LP has been pressed on coloured vinyl, coming in individual die cut sleeves that feature and abstract of the original artwork. Each LP is secured with it's own belly-band. The box set also includes a four piece inset, along with a poster. Beautiful.

All music has been fully re-mastered. This edition is presented with the generous assistance of the Yokota family.
