TURLCARLY

Keisuke Taniguchi steps out from his role as bassist and into stranger terrain as TURLCARLY, unveiling his original debut Signend EP. Across four tracks, he folds the pulse of club music into something more textural and abstract - an experiment in rhythm and restraint that feels both spontaneous and deeply crafted. 'Babelz Racoon' sets the tone with warped percussion and elastic low-end, while 'Roll Wall' shuffles between groove and disintegration, like a floor slowly melting beneath you. On 'Sontrium', Taniguchi's contrabass takes centre stage, threading through synthetic tones with ghostly precision. Closer 'Sug' drifts into woozy, freeform territory, bridging ambient and broken beat. There's something beautifully unresolved about the whole record a collision of precision and play that captures a musician searching for new forms, and finding them in the cracks.
