In a relatively short space of time, the prolific young producer Kiana Li, aka gyrofield, has risen high, amassing a slew of releases across revered imprints, and established themselves as a vital voice in electronic music.
Their debut album Great Jobs marks the second release on their own ‘autonomy-first’ new label Field Research, and will be supported by a series of European live dates. An especially distinct release within a catalogue already synonymous with evolving output, the LP delves deeper into the realms of possibility. Li reached for different cues, using dub, post-industrial and post punk for fresh inspiration, voicing an “inner world soundclash”, and an alternative perspective.
