The Spanish label Semantica showcases their label ethic of presenting original techno and electronica, with cracking tracks from ‘maverick’ artists Kero, Paul Bailey and label owner himself Svreca. Sidestepping what has become the usual Spanish techno template of broken beats & dark atmospheres, and avoiding the usual cliches associated with that ’scene’, makes for an intriguing and original release.
