Skudge

By running their own remix series, Skudge manages to get some of their most inspiring artists put their mark on the raw and powerful material that Skudge has been putting out. Substance took ‘Overture’ into his own reduced style, leaving everything traditional behind, he managed to produce easily one of the most deadly tracks this year—with only a handful of elements. For ‘Realtime’, taken from the Phantom LP, October and Appleblim teams up to take the very sublime original into a early techno state—not leaving their own seperate styles behind, but rather reinforcing them. A combination stumbling upon the UK’s forward-thinking scene in the early days, combined with the heavyweight Bristol sound of today.
