Coppice Halifax
Cedar Mast

Cedar Mast is the result of an experiment undertaken during the Summer of 2012 at Botany Bay. Having a longtime fondness for video games, and by association, video gaming consoles of years past, it occurred to Coppice Halifax how much he always loved the bootup/menu sounds made by the Sega Dreamcast system. His wife bought him a brand new system for his birthday, and he took the opportunity to sample all of the native sounds the machine makes when there isn't a boot disc inside. Everything you hear in these five tracks that is not a drum machine (which is to say, all of the melodies, pads, basslines and even bits of percussion) have been created using only those original sounds from this computer system. Runtime: 39:09. Limited edition of 50 copies on CD-R, packaged in sky blue paper sleeves with hand-stamped offwhite cardstock inserts.
