Near Paris
Near Paris
Compilation/reissue of rare 4 song EP by Near Paris released in 1985 + 7 unreleased songs recorded during the same period. Near Paris hailed from Columbus, Ohio and arose after their first project Post Industrial Noise split up in 1983. The self-titled EP is long out of print and contains excellent new wave tracks such as "Visions" and "Ceiling". The unreleased tracks (unheard until now) follow the same style of deep/moody club-based synthpop. The tracks were faithfully restored and remastered from cassette. This LP will appeal to fans of early/mid 80s synth/new wave. Presented in a limited edition of 650 copies on 180gram oxblood vinyl. Contains a bonus insert with photos/liner notes and a memorial to late member Gerald Nelson.
