Marcos Valle

2013 marks Marcos Valle’s 70th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the Brazilian native’s debut long player. For the past few years, Light in the Attic's been obsessed with Valle’s early ‘70s work, originally recorded for the Odeon label. It’s where a new modern Brazilian pop sound effortlessly mixed bossa nova, baião and samba with foreign influences like jazz, rock, pop, soul and funk, bringing to mind the sounds of Jean Claude Vannier and David Axelrod.
