The Germann producer's most recent previous outing explored krautrock-inspired drone textures for Emotional Response, ''Hexentrix'' is a pleasingly melodious affair - even if the chiming, music box melodies have a curiously chilling feel. This uneasy vibe is emphasized further via loose, organic sounding percussion and a surprisingly powerful drone bassline. Jordan GCZ remixes, utilizing many of the original elements while adding the restless pulse of a hypnotic techno rhythm.
