Monoton ‘Monotonprodukt 02’, also known as MP02, is the debut album of Austrian electronic maverick Konrad Becker. Out in 1980 it was a precursor of the minimal techno dub sound that was starting to be popular more than 15 years after. The album has been reissued by desire a couple of years ago and a new pressing is in the work. Now new producers giving crédit to the work of the Austrian master: Sergie Rezza, whose debut album out on desire was critically acclaimed, Abdulla Rashim (Abdulla Rashim Records / Northern Electronics) and Basic House.

The B-side is a megamix of the album tracks by the one and only ambient/electronica veteran Scanner.
