Andrés, DJ Seinfeld & Osunlade make up the second EP of remixes from the Trus'me Planet 4 LP.
Andrés steps up in fine form with a beautifully subtle take on Dark Flow. He expertly brightens the original, accentuating the strings & rolling an addictive break into the mix. Reminiscent of his early KDJ releases. Classic Andrés!
Man of the moment DJ Seinfeld takes Here & Now and revamps it into a intriguingly restrained & evocative piece. Almost a refrain. Everything is stripped back and sonically twisted. He coaxes the track with shuffling, smudged drums & ethereal piano whilst the mood is deepened by dusty & distorted layers.
Finally So High is treated to an outstanding Yoruba Soul treatment. Osunlade bends things to his will, losing the insistence of the original. He deftly finds space in the groove, adding ear worm keys & creating a wonderful warmth with economic dubs.
