Since 2012, Matt Langrish-Smith and Jamey D's Makin' Moves label has firmly established itself as one of the most reliable outlets for deep, soul-flecked house music. Having already dropped must-check releases from the likes of Kenny Bobien, Alton Miller, Demuir and Afronaut, they've now offered up another gem, this time from Damian Lee Ah Yen AKA TRindadian Deep. He's at his immersive, percussion-rich and musically expansive best on opener 'Project Dub Nasty', where twinkling piano motifs, South American percussion and dreamy chords catch the ear. He moves further towards spiritual house territory on the Osunlade style wonder of 'Project Trinidadiandeep Groove', before doffing a cap to Caribbean musical culture on the steel pan-sporting tactility of 'Trindadiandeep Sonics & SteelDrum'.
