The findings have been fantastical, freakish and formidable; all ways of describing his latest outing. "The Great Pretender" straddles electro and techno, staggers between ambient and IDM and swaggers to its own bawdy beat. Rasping rhythm patterns are rinsed in ragged roars, charcoal chords are conjured before being crunched as The Wee Djs has his fun across five tracks.
